Helping Children Following a Crisis

Adam’s Place would like to share some helpful advice from the Children’s Bereavement Center regarding the recent Boston tragedy.

We are thinking of those recently touched by loss in the Boston area, as well as those close to us who recognize the impact that these events have on our personal sense of safety, trust, and concern for our loved ones. A Message from the Board of Adam's Place

Dear Families:
We welcome you to Adam’s Place. Adam’s place was founded to provide children, teens and families a safe, confidential, “home-like” setting to express and learn to cope with loss in a peer support group here in Southern Nevada. Our volunteer facilitators complete 15 hours of training to lead our groups. There is no fee for our programs. We are a not for profit public charity and rely on grants, donations and community fundraising.

We hope to see you at our next orientation, which is required for all participants, before starting group. Please call to register: (702) 339-0848.  All programs are conducted at our “home” at 601 S. Rancho Dr, Bldg C, Suite 19.

We have several community partners who are helping us assess and build new programs, such as UNLV and Beacon Academy. Together, we build bridges so families can grow in healthy ways from a loss.

Sincerely,
Kelly Boyers
